People can take their coffee shops quite personally. We all have our preferences when it comes to what design, ambience, or bean provenance our morning cup comes with. But cruising Kapitolyo, we’ve discovered a few crowd-pleasing coffee shops.
A cafe that unifies all: United Coffee, situated among the eclectic eats of United Street in Kapitolyo, a quick walk from The Vantage. We at The Start believe in starting the year off right, so getting a more-than-decent cup of coffee to start our days with was of utmost importance. We found that righteous cup at United, which serves “only the finest, freshly roasted coffee beans” sourced from as far off as El Salvador to as close as Sagada.
Besides United Coffee’s distinctive selection of beans, baristas manage to shake things up, literally, with one of their signature sips. Intensifying the buzz of just your regular cup is the Shakerato (P140), a cold coffee beverage shaken with milk and served in a martini glass. It’s the perfect heels-up indulgence to pair with a chunky Brownie S’mores Pie (P110/slice) or a pair of pillowy cinnamon buns.
While there are countless meeting places in Kapitolyo that serve coffee, at least one spot unifies our leanings toward slick design and a welcoming atmosphere, where one can choose to sit back with a book (the cafe’s shelves beckon) or huddle over steaming-hot cups with that special someone.
United Coffee is open daily from 11:30am-11:00pm.
